My first Christmas single! – so it had to be my favourite carol.
Every year I’ve thought how good it would be to have a Christmas track to release, but I have always found it hard to think about Christmas until December … by which time it is WAY too late to do anything about it.
So in 2023, I made a start in June!!
This is my own trumpet arrangement, in which I’ve amalgamated two of my favourite, but very different, genres. It begins with a fairly standard classical arrangement, before hitting the streets with a New Orleans-style jazz jam, which morphs back into the original classical mood, with additional shimmer and glitter from the piccolo trumpet to end. I admit, I love it – I hope you do too!
